Thompson & Morgan were first to offer it as part of the Autumn Collection 1999 catalogue which was mailed to UK customers only. A novelty version of the traditional Japanese wild flower, it reaches 20-40cms and spreads some 30cms depending on soil and location It has alternate layers of ragged petals in a deep yellow and green and prefers a neutral to acidic soil which is well drained and in deep shade. It is rare and there is still very limited availablility.
