![]() This one has a perfume - the only fragrant one in the world (at the time of release in 1999). One of the best and hardiest of the patented varieties developed in a breeding programme under the supervision of Dr Mark Bridgen at the University of Connecticut USA. 'Sweet Laura' is vigorous and heavy blooming from June until September growing to about 30 inches high. Marc laviana of Sunny Border Nurseries said: "We have heard that it has survived in Ithica, New York State which is USDA Zone 4 but has usually good snow cover. I'd say Zone 5 for certain and Zone 4 with protection. The yellow flowers are spotted and brushed with mahogany red and make a wonderful cut flower with a sweetly delicate scent. Available originally in the USA through Sunny Border Nursery and was a selction in their 1999 'Sunny Border Gold' selections.
