 Fuchsia 'Firecracker'Fuchsia 'Firecracker' is a brand new variegated triphylla fuchsia that has been protected with Plant Breeders Rights throughout the world. Even in Japan and South Africa where interest in variegated plants has been small in the past there has been a huge demand for information about this wonderful looking plant. Fuchsia 'Firecracker was debuted at the 1999 Hampton Court Palace Flower Show in England and produces huge bunches of rich orange-scarlet flowers. The very large leaves are variegated in olive-green and cream with pink to dark pink veining. Discovered eight years previous by John Ridding of Worcestershire England the sport from Fuchsia triphylla species is perennial, but tender, it does well in most climates with protection. Young Plant Ltd of Stratford-upon-Avon England were co-ordinating initial sales and propagation.
