Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Tom Thumb'

What a great shrub this is!
Growing no higher than 75 cm is has dark brown / purple / black evergreen foliage for much of the season with creamy green new leaves emerging at the end of spring.
A New Zealand native cultivar it is now popular across the world - and it's much hardier than many people think, though you should provide a sheltered site if at all possible.
It makes a compact tidy bush for the garden or even for a large container which doesn't dry out - and it also has the benefit like all Pittosporums of tiny honey / chocolate scented flowers during summer (AGM).
