Epimedium 'Creeping Yellow'

This is a very striking Epimedium which hasn't yet received a name and is known provisionally as 'Creeping Yellow' until the nomenclature is sorted out!

It was launched at Scotland's National Gardening Show by Lilliesleaf Nursery based in Scotland.

Full contact phone and fax numbers in PLANTS Issue 17 (Volume 5 Issue 1). (Download the digital issue from the PLANTS shop) Lilliesleaf Nursery owned by Teyl de Bordes obtained a range of Epimediums from various Japanese Nurseries and this one was labelled 'Creeping Yellow' and had white flowers on dwarf plants.

Lilliesleaf had small supplies of this plant in 1999.

It has attractive young leaves as shown in the photograph. They are richly speckled with red and a red edge to the leaf fading to green as the leaves get older.

The plant is deciduous.
