 Ajuga 'Valfredda'Ajuga 'Valfredda' syn 'Chocolate Chip' has been around since 199/2000 in Europe and in the US, but is becoming more widely available now in the UK and other territories. Erroneously called 'Chocolate Chip' in its early days when imported from Europe it was originally discovered at Lorenzo Crescini's Valfredda Nursery in Italy. It has tight rosettes of medium green, with new foliage emerging milk chocolate, tinged purplish plum. It has typical blue flowers about 4-6" above the foliage, creating carpets of blue. The tiny leaves can be an asset when trying to cram this plant into the tiniest crevices in a rockery.
